With fall slowly but surely making its appearance here in Austin, we couldn't be more excited to finally bring the warm, cozy feeling of the season into our homes. One of the best ways to make your home feel cozier and more relaxing this season is by changing or...

Fall Decor | From Halloween to Thanksgiving

Like many, Fall is my favorite season. And the joke in my house is that I'm not allowed to start decorating for Christmas (or playing its music) as early as I want to. From Halloween to Christmas I love to make our home, inside and out, as warm and festive as...

DIY: Peel & Stick Wallpaper Nightstand

This just in, a perfect pairing! Our Katie Kime peel & stick wallpaper is so versatile we decided to makeover a simple white nightstand from Ikea for a bold statement piece. While putting the finishing touches on the cottage, we’ve been looking for cost-effective ways...

Fabric Lamp Shade DIY

In the new cottage we have several areas that could benefit from some dramatic lighting. Unfortunately we didn't want to spend a ton of money to make a big impact. So while on a shopping trip to Ikea I saw some large white drum lamp shades and had the idea to cover...

I've been dreaming about a new office space for what seems like forever. But finding a space that matched our aesthetic, our values and a place we could grow into was no small task. I wasn't going to rush into anything knowing we wanted...

Unexpected Prints: Lemons + Polka Dots

Vintage prints, like this one of lemon vines, are my go to when I am needing inspiration for a new pattern.  I was drawn to the clusters of lemons in this image and the contrast of the bright yellow and sage green. When I envisioned our guest bathroom decor, I knew I...

Shelf Styling | Books, Art, Tchotchkes + More

Shelf styling is one of my favorite things and at times one of my most dreaded. The latter, because it's harder than you think! Well, harder might be a strong word which is the point of this post - to show you how you really can do it yourself! Perhaps, time-intensive...

Tribeza Home Tour in Review: Meredith Ellis

This weekend I attended the second annual Tribeza home tour with some friends. It was 65 and sunny in Austin and I was alone for the weekend (no man, no kids, just the dog and me), for the first time in a long time. The solitude was as glorious as the weather was and...
