Serving trays are an essential when it comes to entertaining, but lets be honest sometimes they get more expensive than they should be and it seems there aren’t great ones out there. They seem to all have kind of stayed in the nineties. So, this week I’m going to show you how to make your own serving tray that is not only budget friendly but also perfect for any party you may have.
Steps:
If you’re going to spray paint your drawer pulls, do that first. This step is totally optional though or perhaps you’re already beginning with gold drawer pulls…you get the point.
Measure out exactly where you want to drill the holes according to the size your handles/pulls.
Drill the holes. Don’t let this intimidate you if you’re not used to power tools. The smallest of drills will get this job done.
Line up the back of the screw with the front of the handle, like this.
Supplies List:
• Cutting board (this one is from Bed Bath & Beyond)
• Two Drawer pulls ( I got my from home depot for around $9 a piece!)
• Gold Spray paint
• Drill
• Measuring tape
• Pen/Sharpie (to mark holes)
And you’re done. Now you just have to plan your party…
